The tutoring program is back in full swing. God has really blessed us during the first half of the school year.  We have 20 students, the most students that we have ever had enrolled at one time. We have seen significant changes in their lives at home and in school.  We offer a well balanced program comprised of music, tutoring, exciting free time activities and most importantly, the Word of God.  Our theme scripture for the remainder of the school year is Matthew 9:9.  In this passage of scripture, Jesus saw Matthew sitting at the tax booth and simply said “Follow Me.”  Matthew followed and became one of Jesus’ disciples.  We are teaching the students how to follow the example Jesus gave us by the way He lived and by His teachings. 

Recent comments from the report cards of several students have shown that they are becoming “disciples” or good students in the classroom.  One report card stated, “He has shown much improvement these nine weeks.  I am impressed with the fact that he is beginning to take responsibility for his own actions, and cares about his grades.”  He is also on the A/B Honor Roll.  Another report card read, “She is an excellent student who has shown growth in the areas of writing and mathematics.”  When we follow Jesus, it should show in all areas of our life.  From these two report card comments, and many others, it is evident that the Lord is really working in the hearts and minds of these students and as they continue to follow the Lord, He is going to continue to bless them in every area of their life.
