As the third year of the After School Adventurers Program draws to a close, I can look back and honestly say this is the best year we have ever had.  Throughout the year we have been looking for ways to improve the quality and effectiveness of the program because the children that we serve live in environments that are not accustomed to  provide the support needed for spiritual growth.  They listen to music that has provocative and promiscuous lyrics.  The video games and movies they watch contain excessive violence and offensive language.  At times it has been difficult to know if the work of God is making a difference when everyday life seems to challenge the very existence of God.  One of the greatest rewards is to hear a parent say that the program has improved the life of their child.  Through Bible Studies, tutoring, mentoring and teaching the children spiritual songs, the parents and teachers have noticed an improvement in behavior and grades.  I am constantly reminded that God gives the increase.  It is our job to plant and to water. Please continue to pray that we will continue to be faithful and not waiver as we engage in spiritual warfare over the children of the community.
