Ministries and Activities of Christian Adventurers

           Each year we form and train mission teams consisting of kids from our programs, and local churches to go out and share the good news of the Gospel through testimony, praise and worship, sports, puppets, and drama .  Over the last 11 years we have served in Florida, West Virginia, Texas, the coast of NC, as well as locally.

           Every Monday nights, 6:00-8:00 PM, a group of Jr. high and boys and girls meet at the Graham Middle School gymnasium.  We hold open gym and have bible study each week

          This small group time is used as a time of prayer, fellowship and discipleship, and of course a good breakfast.  

         Open to all boys and girls from 6:00-8:00PM   

           Every year we coach basketball teams.  We normally have at least 2-4 teams (boys and girls) playing in one of the local youth leagues.  Kids trust coaches.  We use this time to help build relationships and earn their trust so we can share Christ with them.  Most of the kids come from our Monday night club meeting.        

           During the summer we offer a week of special basketball instruction to help develop the skills of young people in the game of basketball.  This is a time where the young people are also challenged spiritually.

           Each year we take at least two retreats out of town away from distractions to draw closer to God and one another.  These trips are used for evangelism and discipleship.

          During the school year we have the privilege of leading a local FCA group at Graham Middle School.  3 out of 4 weeks we share Christ, and His word with 60-80 kids to encourage them to live out their faith in their school.  FCA in North Carolina have asked us to be the contact for all the middle schools and high schools in the county.  This allows us even more access into the public schools to reach more kids!

We feel blessed to have been contacted by the Fellowship of Christian Athletes in North Carolina to be their representative in Alamance County. We will be ministering to and assisting the coaches and student leadership of the schools sponsoring FCA Huddles this school year! This is an awesome opportunity! Please pray for us as we will be contacting all middle and high schools in the county about starting or continuing an FCA Bible study.

           Thursday 6:30-8:30

           Every Thursday night at the Christian Adventurers Clubhouse we offer a karate class and Bible study for "at-risk_ Hispanic teens referred by the court system.

          Monday-Friday 3:30-6:00PM

          This program is designed to meet the needs of children, grades 1-5 academically socially, and spiritually.  Transportation , tutoring, Bible study, and refreshments are provided during this time.
